Harold W. Emery Jr. Dies

Harold W. Emery Jr., professor of history, died on Saturday, September 11, 2004.

A faculty member in the School of Humanities and Sciences since 1963, Professor Emery had taken ill at the beginning of the fall semester and was in the hospital at the time of his death.

On September 16th at 7:00 pm in the Emerson Suites, Betsy Taylor, president of the Center for a New American Dream, will present a public lecture entitled "In Search of a Sustainable Future: Getting from Here to There". This presentation is free and open to the public.

She will also present a sustainability cafe/faculty colloquium at 12:10-1:00 pm in the Clark Lounge. The topic of that discussion will be "Making Ithaca College a Model of Sustainability".

Susan West Engelkemeyer, director of the one-year MBA program and an associate professor of management at Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts, will serve as the new dean of the Ithaca College School of Business.
