Sandra L. Herndon, professor, organizational communication, learning, and design , will give three presentations, including "Communication and the Public Good: The Scholarship of Application," at the Eastern Communication Association convention in Washington, DC, in late April. In addition, six communications graduate students will present papers at poster sessions: Rebecca Lathrop, Kristin Wurster, Jennifer Brown, Jamie Leone, Anne Luckhurst, and J.R. Steele.

Ithaca College has named Eric Lieb and Shira Sliffman recipients of the 2003 William A. Scoones Community Service Award. Presented on Friday, April 11, during the College's annual Celebration of Service reception held in the Emerson Suites, this $500 cash award celebrates Bill Scoones' lifetime example of service both to Ithaca College and the greater Ithaca community by recognizing two outstanding Ithaca College students for their distinguished community service efforts.
