The Ithaca College Library and Teaching and Learning with Technology (TLT) have partnered to implement Ex Libris Leganto, a new reading list/e-reserves tool that integrates with the Sakai learning environment. Faculty who currently use e-reserves are encouraged to use Leganto, as well as any faculty member who would like to utilize reading lists. Using the online Leganto system, attendees can begin to assemble materials of all types – physical books, online or digitized book chapters, scholarly articles, videos, newspaper articles, websites or any other type of material – to create a structured, comprehensive resource list. TLT staff will walk you through the getting started with Leganto and point out important features of the tool to support teaching and learning.

A newly constructed My Zone pantry in Campus Center dining hall is now open to guests with celiac disease or food allergies, strengthening precautions against cross-contamination in the dining hall. My Zone is a gluten, treenut and peanut free zone — this dedicated, ID accessed area gives guests the ability to be involved in their own allergen-safe meal preparation. Individuals using My Zone will enter the room with the swipe of their ID card. Guests will initially need to provide an ID # that is recorded and saved to ensure easy access for future visits to the pantry. This process will also allow staff to foster and sustain ongoing communications to ensure safety and satisfaction with guests. Guests are encouraged to work with managers and chefs on site to provide continuous feedback on stocked products in the pantry.
