Associate Professor Cory Brown recently attended The 22nd International Symposium on Translation and Interpreting Teaching​, at Fu Jen Catholic University, in Taipei, and was hosted in Taipei and in Kaohsiung by distinguished Taiwanese poets Ruey-shan Chen and Yu Hsien.

Six Ithaca College student leaders were selected to attend the 2018 National Conference for College Women Student Leaders (NCCWSL) held May 30-June 2 in College Park, MD. The focus is on women’s leadership issues from a broad range of speakers, including internationally known activists, politicians, journalists, entrepreneurs, and scientists.

Composer and librettist Hugh M. McElyea will be joining the Diversity and Inclusion Discussion Circle this Thursday, June 7th at noon in Klingenstein Lounge in the Campus Center. Mr. McElyea plans to share stories about his life and his work, specifically his music composition for the theatrical performance “Tenebrae: The Passion of Dietrich Bonhoeffer” offered on June 16, 2018 at Cornell University.

The vendor for Ithaca College’s Emergency Notification System (ENS) will be taking the system offline for 10 hours this weekend while it undergoes planned maintenance work. The vendor will provide a backup for the college to distribute any emergency messages, but there could be a delay in the receipt of those messages beyond the normal immediate timeframe.

HomerConnect, HomerAdmin, ECM and myIthaca are scheduled to be unavailable for about 8.5 hours on Sunday, June 3rd for a database upgrade. ODS/ODI will not be able to run any reports against Homer during the downtime as well. The maintenance window is from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
