Women's and Gender Studies (WGST)and the Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival (FLEFF) announce the launch of a new on-going collaboration, F2F: Faculty to Faculty Salons, beginning on September 30 at 7:30.

The first F2F salon features Dr. Katarzyna Bartoszynska, Assistant Professor of English and Women’s and Gender Studies, who will be interviewed by Dr. Claire Gleitman, Professor of English and Coordinator of the WGST Program.

Spanning the fall semester and programmed every few weeks, Conversations on COVID is a one-hour event. It features a 30-minute interview with our featured guest followed by Q & A with our audience.

The COVID pandemic exposes in full view enormous health disparities and inequalities during a time of global protests for racial justice.  It has also provoked questions about the preparedness of our public health and medical care systems

The first Conversation on COVID will take place on Wednesday, September 30 at 1pm with Dean Linda Petrosino as our inaugural guest.

Domestic Violence Awareness Month

In support and in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness (DVAM) month, the Sexual Violence Prevention Committee (SVPC), is hosting events and workshops throughout the month of October. 

Topics will include healthy dating, identifying signs of violence and bystander intervention techniques.

Face Masks for Students

Face masks for students who are living on or near campus are available 24/7 in the lobby of Public Safety, and students who reside off campus in the South Hill area can have them delivered once per week by emailing their request to publicsafety@ithaca.edu. The off-campus deliveries are pretty popular, and the officers enjoy supporting and connecting with students!
