Making the move to full professor

Contributed by Asma Barlas on 01/22/18

Colleagues,

To those of you who are interested in taking part in this initiative, I want to say, first, that I'm looking forward to working with you this semester. Second, the meetings are voluntary and I don't expect you to be there on both Tuesday and Thursday. I simply picked both days because I know some of you won't be able to come on one of them. Also, my own sense is that we should initially have a couple of meetings as a group before I schedule one-on-one meetings with you. That way, we'll all have a general sense of the challenges faculty face in different schools/programs before we design the individualized meetings. Never having done this sort of a thing before, I expect to learn along with you as the semester unfolds.
