The panel included composer Eric Whitacre who created the idea for virtual choirs which turned into a global phenomenon 10 years ago. He recently completed a virtual choir that included 17,562 singers from 129 countries and was featured on CBS’s “Sunday Morning”. The panel also included moderator Joey Martin, and panelists Nicole Aldrich, Jason Max Ferdinand, Janet Galván, and Tesfa Wondemagegnehu. The panel discussed the pedagogies and philosophies of virtual ensembles.
