Students interested in careers in law, politics, social justice, and other fields are invited to attend a panel on Friday, January 27 from 1-2 p.m. in Klingenstein Lounge titled “Is Law of Grad School Right for You? Admissions, Scholarships, and Careers.” All members of the Ithaca College community are welcome to attend. 

The panel features Keith Watters ’76, former Ithaca College Trustee and founder of Keith Watters & Associates; Kevin Judd, current president of the National Bar Association (NBA), the oldest and largest national voluntary legal association with a network of over 66,000 predominantly black lawyers, judges, educators and law students; and Isabelle Ramos, the Associate Director of Admissions at Cornell University Law School.

Open Letter to the Ithaca College Community:

 We, the undersigned continuing full-time faculty in the Department of Writing, are writing to voice our support for our part-time and contingent colleagues in Writing and across campus in their collective union efforts to forge a mutually beneficial contract with Ithaca College. If we are to realize fully IC’s vision of a “student-centered learning community,” we must ensure that all instructors are compensated equitably, for there is no question that teachers’ working conditions are students’ learning conditions.

The Fitness Center's spring group exercise schedule is now available on our website.  Classes will begin on Monday1/30/17 and are free for all students, faculty, and staff unless otherwise noted.  With the exception of Inner Strength and faculty/staff only classes, sign-ups are available at the Fitness Center front desk 30 minutes before the scheduled start time for each class.  Please e-mail fitnesscenter@ithaca.edu with any questions.

With a winter storm forecast to impact the region over the next 24 hours, we wanted to let the campus community know that college officials are closely monitoring the situation and will be consulting with local law enforcement agencies and other local employers, as needed.

As noted in the Ithaca College Policy Manual, weather conditions, no matter how extreme, normally will not close the college when classes are in session. Any announcement of a change in the college’s operating status will be made via the Emergency Notification System (ENS), posted on the college’s website and on the Emergency Hotline (274-1495), and distributed to local media outlets.
