The “Out of the Closet and Onto the Screen” series at Ithaca College will show the documentary “El Canto del Colibri” on Tuesday, Oct. 4. Exploring the relationships between Latino immigrant fathers and their LGBTQ family members, the film will be shown at 7 p.m. in Textor 101. It is free and open to the public.

The Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that Ithaca College senior Kristin Jannotti, who had previously been reported missing, has been located. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted in the investigation by the Ithaca College Office of Public Safety.

As the Ithaca College community continues to mourn and police continue to investigate the Aug. 28 murder of Anthony Nazaire ’19 on the Cornell University campus, local authorities are searching for suspects in an unrelated stabbing that took place near Cornell on Wednesday night.

The college issued a Public Safety Alert following this latest incident, in which a person not affiliated with either Cornell or Ithaca College received a knife wound to the leg. The victim was transported to an area hospital, and is expected to recover.

Following a national search, Dr. Yuko Mulugetta has been named Chief Analytics Officer at Ithaca College.  In this new role, Dr. Mulugetta will oversee the Office of Analytics and Research (formerly Institutional Research), and collaborate extensively across the college so that we can expand our understanding of the student experience, student learning outcomes, and student success.  As Chief Analytics Officer, Dr. Mulugetta will lead efforts to develop data standards across campus, and work with a wide range of constituents to apply predictive analysis to inform our decision making.
