Ithaca College has had a very successful partnership with Longview, a retirement community located on Danby Road, for the past 16 years.  Part of this relationship has involved an ongoing Faculty & Staff Lecture Series at Longview.

 Join IC PRSSA (Public Relations Student Society of America) for the 15th annual Swish For Make-A-Wish basketball tournament on Saturday, April 16th from 10:00am-4:00pm in the Fitness Center. This annual 5 v. 5 basketball tournament raises money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central New York. Last year, we raised over $2,000 and had over 250 student participants. This year we plan to raise $2,500 and need your help!

Digital Instruction and Information Services (DIIS) is moving forward, as planned, with major network maintenance for this weekend, late evening Saturday, March 12th into mid-day Sunday, March 13th. The maintenance is required to replace aging components of our network infrastructure. This upgrade is the first in a series of steps that are planned for the spring and summer to create a more robust, modern network to help minimize issues such as those which disrupted our network over the last several days.

Ellie Fitts Fulmer, Assistant Professor of Education, and colleagues presented last week at the US Department of Education’s conference for Math Science Partnerships in Baltimore, MD. The presentation, titled, “Partnering for Success: A Unique Museum-District-Higher Education Partnership” discussed the strengths and challenges of the 12-year teacher professional development program, Greater Allentown Math Science Partnership (GAMSP), in Allentown, PA, of which Dr. Fulmer was a faculty member and coordinator for most of the program’s duration (2005-2013).
