The Lower J-Lot will be serving as an event location on that date and needs to be fully cleared of vehicles for the event, and access will be blocked for a portion of the day. I am pleased to announce that Luke Keller, Professor of Physics and Astronomy, and Bonnie Prunty, Director of Residential Life and Judicial Affairs, have generously agreed to serve as co-chairs of the Middle States Self-Study Project. In addition, we will have seven committees, each working on one of the seven standards every college must meet to be (re)accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Featured in the LaunchNY story is her Kairos Light--a product-system that Xanthe conceived at Ithaca Generator and prototyped in the Southern Tier Hardware Accelerator at REV over the summer. Xanthe teaches Make Better Stuff Lab and Make Better Stuff Studio in ENVS. In these courses students use sustainable design principles to design and manufacture simple products using tools like 3D printers and open source electronics.
