The Maplewood Cemetery was incorporated in 1866 and expanded the cemetery area around an older, preexisting burial area. The cemetery was active until the late 1960s early 1970s at which time it went into disuse. Lack of maintenance over forty years resulted in a deterioration of the cemetery. A newly formed board is reviving the cemetery.

August is Family Fun Month!

Contributed by Katie Sack on 07/26/15

Though Family Day is recognized as a holiday in only two states, Arizona and Nevada, it is a worldwide belief that the family is an important part of any nation.

So, we're bringing a little of the West to Ithaca by celebrating family for the whole month of August with a new activity each day!

Check out our August is Family Fun Month website at https://www.ithaca.edu/hr/benefits/wrklife/familymonth for a calendar of events you and your family can do together, starting on August 1st!

The next installment of the “Dollars and $ense” discussion series will take place on Wednesday, August 5th.

Faculty and Staff are invited to participate in the discussion, which takes place in the Taughannock Falls Room at 9 am.

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Carly Hills in the office of finance and administration (274-3118 or chills@ithaca.edu).  We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.

Ithaca College ITS is pleased to announce that Facilities Administration, Warehouse, and Center for Public Safety have now passed the Wi-Fi testing phase and are complete. Faculty, Staff and Students using those buildings should now enjoy strong, stable, robust Wi-Fi service.

This completion leaves only three remaining buildings left: Muller Chapel, PRW, and the A&E Center.  The entire ITS Wi-Fi team is proud to bring this project closer to completion, as the largest wireless initiative in the school’s history moves along with success.
