If you know an AES tutor or PLUG leader, give them a shout out for the excellent work they are doing this term.  Due to our new online system, we are experiencing record numbers of requests for peer tutoring and other services. 

Finally, please let your students know that NOVEMBER 18th is the last day they can request Fall semester peer tutoring services from AES.

As the cold, wet weather approaches, try to stay active and healthy by exercising! Before the snow touches, try to exercise outside, utilize the fitness center, and check out the new Athletics and Events Center. There are many benefits college students get from regular exercising, so grab a friend and attend one of these great Block II classes offered at the fitness center!

Adults need at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity (brisk-walking) of physical activity every week and 2 or more days a week of muscle-strengthening activities working all major muscle groups

You can choose to do 75 minutes of vigorous-intensity aerobic activity (jogging or running), along with 2 or more days of muscle-strengthening. For more exercise options, click here.

November 1st began our annual collection of non-perishable food items for the Thanksgiving holiday, with bins located at various locations around campus. Project Look Sharp is Ithaca College’s award-winning educational initiative within the School of Humanities and Sciences that supports media literacy integration into K- College classrooms.  We are a non-profit organization that provides media literacy materials, lesson plans, curriculum kits, and workshops to help educators effectively integrate media literacy into classroom curricula.  Join our on-campus  team to help promote critical thinking and media literacy skills for the next generation. Darkling, an experimental opera-theatre work by Stefan Weisman and Anna Rabinowitz, was released by Albany Records on on November 1, 2011. In addition to the CD, Brian DeMaris, Associate Professor in the School of Music, was the conductor for the 2006 world premiere in New York and the 2007 tour to Berlin and Poland.
