Scheer and City Limits editor Jarrett Murphy will both accept the awards at a ceremony on Monday, April 11, at 7:30 p.m. in Emerson Suites. The program is free and open to the public. The Izzy Award is named after legendary muckraking journalist I.F. “Izzy” Stone, who for nearly four decades until his death in 1989 exposed government deceit and corruption while championing civil liberties, racial justice, and international diplomacy.
