A group of faculty and students from the Department of Physical Therapy participated in the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Combined Sections Meeting, held in New Orleans, Louisiana, February 2011. Living with Grief is a weekly drop-in support group, providing an opportunity for students to come together and talk about their loss(es).  Current group members appreciate having a place where talking about the death of a loved one does not feel awkward.

Group members want you to know you are not alone.  Feel free to join us. Laughter and tears are welcome.

Lis Maurer, program director of the Center for LGBT Education, Outreach, and Services, recently published a book review in the Journal of Sex Research.  Maurer reviewed "Changing the Course of AIDS: Peer Education in South Africa and Its Lessons for the Global Crisis," published by ILR Press, an imprint of Cornell University Press.  The review appears in the current issue of the journal.
