The Faculty Development Committee seeks nominations for Faculty Excellence Awards by March 25, 2011. This year, we are fortunate to offer five awards, each for $1,500. In order to be eligible for these awards, a candidate must be a full-time faculty member who has completed at least one year of employment at Ithaca College and who will be full time (TE or NTEN) during the 2011-2012 academic year.

The Spring Student Organization Fair sponsored by The Office of Student Engagement and Multicultural Affairs will be held on Wednesday, February 2 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Emerson Suites.

Students are invited to explore opportunities to become involved with student organizations and learn more about what groups are planning for the semester. Over 100!!! Student Organizations will be represented.

We are anticipating a large number of flower deliveries and other trackable goody packages for Valentine’s Day and will open Phillips Hall for package pick up from 11AM until 4PM this Saturday. Soooo! Check your college email account for a package notification on Saturday.

This is a reminder that a test of the Ithaca College Emergency Notification System (ENS) will take place this Thursday, Feb. 10, during the noon hour. It will include a test of the Outdoor Warning System, which features a siren tone and a loudspeaker message. There is no need to take any action in response to the test.

On April 12th the Student Employment office will be hosting a reception in Emerson Suites to thank Ithaca College’s outstanding student employees for their dedicated work. All current student employees will receive a personal invitation to join us for light refreshments and we encourage supervisors to attend with their student employees.

At the reception there will be a “Thank You” wall from you, the supervisor, along with a picture wall of student employees at work. More information regarding these walls will be sent to supervisors soon.

Students must have at least one semester of Ithaca College grades to apply, and at least a 2.75 overall grade point average to be considered.  No single criteria, including GPA, guarantees admission to the minor.
