At the 2009 International Society for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, Professor Erkan and Professor Smith presented on a panel, "Learning History in a Digital Age: Some Experiments with 'Digital Natives.'" Professor Rifkin presented on "A New Taxonomy for Learning in the Music Classroom" in collaboration with Philip Stoecker, a colleague from Hofstra University.

This award is Ithaca College's recognition of outstanding juniors and seniors, who excel in academic achievement, perform service to the College community and nation, and represent an exemplary level of accomplishment.

Are only the lives you see the ones that matter?

Because of a repressive government, the people of North Korea live in extreme poverty and a constant state of fear. It is illegal for them to leave the country, and those that try face the risk of capture and being put into concentration camps. With their families. Millions have died.

To educate the Ithaca College campus and to make a statement about the lack of human rights in North Korea, Asian Culture Club and IC Human Rights are teaming up for a "drop dead" demonstration.

Stop by the academic quad (between the Campus Center and the Library) between 11 and 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 29th to "drop dead." When you hear the whistle, fall down where you are. When you hear the whistle again, get back up and walk around. Repeat.

The top-seeded women's tennis team (10-0) wrapped up its fifth straight Empire 8 title, blanking second-seeded Stevens Institute of Technology 5-0 in Sunday's Empire 8 Championship Tournament final. The Bombers, who became the first team to shut out every opponent in the conference tournament, earn the league's automatic bid to the NCAA playoffs which begin in May. Freshman Cristina Nunez was named Tournament MVP.
