Assistant professor Paul R. Geisler and clinical assistant professor Todd Lazenby recently published an article in the Athletic Training Education Journal (summer 2009, volume 4, no. 2), entitled "Clinical Reasoning in Athletic Training Education: Modeling Expert Thinking." The AETJ is a peer-reviewed, online journal for athletic training educators.

Please join us in wishing Bernie Rhoades happiness in retirement and a hearty farewell after 17 years with Information Technology Services at Ithaca College. We would like to invite any and all members of the campus community who have worked with or know Bernie to join us in a celebration on August 21, 2009 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm in the Klingenstein Lounge.

Patricia Zimmermann, codirector of the Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival (FLEFF) and professor of Cinema, Photography, and Media Arts, has just been named the Shaw Foundation Professor, an endowed chair, at the Wee Kim Wee School of Communications at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore, the premier school of communications in Asia.

Fall Swimming Lessons

The Ithaca College women's swimming and diving team is offering swimming lessons for all ages. There will be two sessions:

  • Session 1: September 8, 9, 10, and 11
  • Session 2: September 14, 15, 16, and 17 

Participants will be taught by a member of the team, either one-on-one or one instructor per two students, in four 45-minute lessons from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. each evening.

Members of the Park School of Communications will be at an all-school retreat on Friday, August 21, from 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
