Over the past few months, the Diversity Awareness Committee has rolled out a campaign meant to encourage dialogue and the expression of identities based on each individual’s definition of diversity.

The large poster campaign -- which highlighted faculty, staff, and students who participated, displayed identities such as race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, as well as regional origin and personal interests -- debuted in February. We encouraged the submission of self-made "mini-posters" to allow the campus the ability to display the identities which made them, in their definition, diverse.

Violinist Susan Waterbury, cellist Elizabeth Simkin, and pianist Jennifer Hayghe -- collectively known as the Sheherazade Trio -- will give a free concert on Sunday, April 5, at 4:00 p.m. in the Hockett Family Recital Hall. The trio's program will include Schoenfield's "Cafe Music," Ravel's Trio, and the second movement of the Schubert E-flat Trio.

Due to ongoing construction in the Peggy Ryan Williams Center (formerly known as the gateway building) and the relocation of departments into the new building, it has become apparent that the space will not be available in time to accommodate the Weight Watchers at Work (WW@W) meetings that are scheduled to begin in a couple weeks.

Therefore, the meetings are being moved to 203 Center for Health Sciences, a spacious classroom on the second floor past the CHS coffee cart and around the corner to the right (beneath the Wellness Clinic).

The time has been adjusted slightly to 12:15-1:00 p.m.
