(78 words) Over the past few months, the Diversity Awareness Committee has rolled out a campaign meant to encourage dialogue and the expression of identities based on each individual’s definition of diversity. The large poster campaign -- which highlighted faculty, staff, and students who participated, displayed identities such as race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, as well as regional origin and personal interests -- debuted in February. We encouraged the submission of self-made "mini-posters" to allow the campus the ability to display the identities which made them, in their definition, diverse. Read more . . . IC After Dark needs your help! We are looking for volunteers for our next event, Around the World, on April 24. In particular, we especially need volunteers who can draw caricatures and/or make origami.
Ithaca College has announced the appointment of Anthony Hopson as assistant vice president for community and government relations. Hopson has served since 2006 as associate dean on the Worcester campus of the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
On Thursday, April 2, at 12:15 p.m., media artists Megan Roberts and Raymond Ghirardo will speak about their work currently on display in the Handwerker Gallery exhibition, "Water Theory: New Installation Works by Megan Roberts and Raymond Ghirardo."
Due to ongoing construction in the Peggy Ryan Williams Center (formerly known as the gateway building) and the relocation of departments into the new building, it has become apparent that the space will not be available in time to accommodate the Weight Watchers at Work (WW@W) meetings that are scheduled to begin in a couple weeks.
