There are so many things to do as the semester ends, don’t forget about your mail! We offer the following suggestions to help provide continuity in your mail-related services.

Begin notifying the publishers of magazines and newspapers you receive where you will be in May. Their toll free numbers and web sites are usually listed in the front or back of the publication. This mail class is not forwarded by the USPS from our College. The USPS notifies the publishers of the permanent address we provide on the publication and then discards the mail piece.

Joyful memories of friends, family and loved ones who have taken their lives by suicide can simultaneously coexist with the painful memories of those relationships, and yet opportunities to talk about those pleasant memories and our process of grief are few.

What we know is that suicide has touched many of our lives, either through our own experience of attempted suicide or the loss of someone we knew, perhaps even loved, to suicide. Therefore, an opportunity to gather together with others who have lost someone to suicide and understand the myriad of emotions that occur after such an event has been planned – to celebrate joyful memories.

Join members of the Ithaca College community Wednesday evening at 7pm in Klingenstein Lounge for A Time to Remember: Stories of Remembrance. Those attending the program are encouraged to come prepared to share their own Story of Remembrance in story, poetry, picture, song or some other style.
