Jazmin Correa ’06, Kimberly Cyrille ’06, and Uzma Rawn ’06 were three of 51 students nationwide to be chosen for The American Advertising Federation's (AAF) Most Promising Minority Students (MPMS) Program.

The Most Promising Minority Students (MPMS) Program is the advertising industry's largest and most comprehensive diversity hiring solution. The selected students are invited to New York City to meet with top advertising, media, and agency companies in February.

In 2005, Ithaca College placed number one in New York State and number ten in the nation in Recyclemania, a friendly competition among university recycling programs in the United States that provides college communities with a fun, proactive, and effective way to make a positive impact on the environment. A larger field of participating universities and some rule changes will challenge our recycling program.

Public Safety Alert

During the early morning hours of Sunday, January 22, in an apartment in the 100 block of Hudson Street, an Ithaca College female student was awakened by an unknown male who had entered her apartment through an unlocked door. He remained inside the apartment for 20 to 30 minutes watching her with the aid of a flashlight as she pretended to be asleep. The unknown subject fled the apartment when the woman sat up and screamed, which also alerted her housemates who were sleeping in their bedrooms in the apartment.

Mr. Richard Pound, chancellor of McGill University, member of the International Olympic Committee, and one of the top 100 most influential people in the world according to Time magazine, will visit Ithaca College on April 4 and 5, 2006. He will deliver an all-campus lecture open to the community at 7:00 p.m. in Textor 102 on April 4.
