Led by Jeffrey Grogan, the Ithaca College Symphony Orchestra will perform a free concert entitled "Love and Struggle" on Thursday, October 6. Beginning at 8:15 p.m. in Ford Hall in the James J. Whalen Center for Music, the program will evoke the tragedy of star-crossed lovers as well as explore the feelings of a woman stricken with a debilitating disease.

The yearlong Ithaca College Concerts season "Return Engagements" will open on Wednesday, October 5, with a performance by the Beaux Arts Trio. The concert will begin at 8:15 p.m. in Ford Hall in the James J. Whalen Center for Music. This year's season was so named because each of the scheduled performers has previously appeared at the College. Now in its 51st season, the Beaux Arts Trio last played in Ford Hall in 1980.

Hugh Stephenson (psychology) and Nick Quarrier (physical therapy) have jointly authored an article entitled “Anxiety Sensitivity and Performance Anxiety in College Music Students.” It appears in the most recent issue of the journal Medical Problems of Performing Artists. This journal is the primary clinical medical journal devoted to the medical and psychological disorders related to the performing arts.

This article is the first paper to be published as a result of a grant to these two faculty members from the Recording Industry Association of America.

ALL Ithaca College Students, faculty and staff MUST have a ticket in hand for admission to the Ithaca versus Cortland football game on Saturday, November 12. School ID will not admit you to the game.
