ENVS Lecturer, Xanthe Matychak, will sit on a panel next week alongside Neil Gershenfeld to discuss The Future of Manufacturing at the DigiFab Conference at MIT.

Today the contingent faculty union met with administration to attempt to head off a strike and settle a contract that provides fair pay for part-time faculty and job stability for full-time contingent faculty. We did not come to an agreement, and as of today our strike on March 28th and 29th is still on.

We are writing to update the Ithaca College community on our most recent bargaining session with the union representing part-time, per-course and full-time, one-year faculty, which took place from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21. The college administration deeply values all of its faculty, and has been working to address their concerns while at the same time maintaining the long-term financial viability of the college.

Volunteers are needed for ITHACON, our local comic book/kids' expo held on Saturday, March 25 and Sunday, March 26 in the Emerson Suites and Williams Hall.  This event offers a great opportunity for doing community service and working with kids without leaving campus.
