Kudos to African-Latino Society on their fundraiser for the water crisis in Flint, MichiganContributed by Theresa Johnson on 02/26/16 Laissez les bons temps rouler! For those who don’t speak French, that means “let the good times roll,” a traditional phrase used in celebration of Mardi Gras, the theme of the African Latino Society’s annual social. Festive colors decorated the event — gold for power, purple for justice, and green for faith.Tickets were sold and donations were accepted to fundraise for the water crisis occurring in Flint, Michigan. The "Winter Wonderland Ball" was held Saturday, Feb. 20 in Emerson Suites and is part of the series of events for Black History Month.
