As recently announced in Intercom, Ithaca College is required by Microsoft to upgrade from Microsoft Live@edu to Microsoft Office 365 on Thursday, June 6, 2013. There is no major downtime expected with the upgrade. However, the Netpass Manager tool for managing passwords and activating Netpass accounts will not be available during, and for a few days after, the upgrade.

The National Football Foundation announced the members of the 2013 Divisional College Football Hall of Fame Class. The Divisional College Football Hall of Fame considers players and coaches from the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision, Divisions II, III, and the NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) for induction. The 2013 class includes four players and three coaches, including Ithaca College fullback and Hall of Fame member Jeff Wittman '93.

Lindsay Beatty, a junior at Ithaca College from Methacton, Pa., is the recipient of the Elite 89 award for the 2013 NCAA Division III Women's Rowing Championship. Beatty, majoring in clinical health studies, currently carries a 3.945 grade-point average. It is among the highest academic honors that can be presented to an NCAA student-athlete. She was presented with the award during the rowing championship banquet on Thursday morning in Indianapolis.

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is pleased to recognize Margie Arnold, Special Assistant to the Provost, for the vision that led to Pathways training for 37% of first-year HSHP students during the 2012-2013 academic year. Margie’s efforts significantly increased the number of students on campus trained to recognize when their peers might be in distress, respond in a helpful manner and refer them to various on-campus resources for professional support.  Margie helps make the Ithaca College community safer by Stompin’ out the Stigma that prevents some students from getting the help they need.

The Ithaca College baseball team saw its record-setting season come to an end with a third-place finish at the NCAA Division III Baseball World Series. Ithaca's tournament run ended with a 5-4, 13-inning loss to Southern Maine at the championship tournament in Appleton, Wis. Ithaca (41-8) finished its season with a school-record 41 wins, and returned to the championship weekend for the first time since 1994.

On Friday April 19, Cyndy Scheibe, Executive Director and Founder of Project Look Sharp, and Chris Sperry, Director of Curriculum and Staff Development for Project Look Sharp presented as keynote speakers at the 11th Annual Northeast Media Literacy Conference. Sperry and Scheibe also hosted individual workshops on socioemotional learning, health education, and media decoding during the event.
