The Ithaca College School of Music Trumpet Ensemble, started this year by student Tom Pang, made it to the Semi-Finals in the National Trumpet Competition.  The group submitted an audition tape and was named to the semi-finals of the Trumpet Ensemble Division.

The Working Parents Affinity Group (WPAG) provides different perspectives on integrating work and our families as working professionals. This group is co-facilitated by two moms who work here on campus and who are interested in developing a resourceful place for other working parents to come together and share with one another based on ideas that YOU provide!!

In commemoration of African American History Month, The History Center in Tompkins County, Cornell University, and Ithaca College are partnering with John Brown Lives! (JBL!) to bring Dreaming of Timbuctoo to Ithaca, from February 4 to February 21—with an Opening Night on February 3, 5 to 8 pm.  Dreaming of Timbuctoo is a traveling exhibition that delves into a little-known voting rights saga in pre-Civil War New York.

The Ithaca College United Way is starting the semester off strong by once again coordinating the annual Family Carnival. The carnival is a hugely popular event where members of the Ithaca community are invited to bring their families to campus and enjoy a night of arts, crafts, food, and fun. This year's carnival will be held on Friday, April 20 from 5:30pm-8:30pm. We're looking for a team of student volunteers to pitch in and help make this year's event the most successful Family Carnival ever! Kids and their families always look forward to this event, at which they can race their friends on the inflatable obstacle course, get their faces painted by IC students, and marvel at the various student performance groups who lend their talents for the night.
