BOOKSTORE & MAC'S CLOSING

The Bookstore and Mac's General Store will be closed on Wednesday, January 13th for the Winter Festival.  We will re-open again on Thursday at 8:30am. 

Start the new decade in a healthy way by putting the Wellness Wednesdays lunch series on your calendar!  All programs will be held from noon-12:50 pm in the Cayuga Lake Room of the Campus Center. Bring your lunch and enjoy a free cup of coffee, bottled water, or a dessert.

The series will begin on January 27th with an opportunity to learn about some of the latest tools for measuring and managing your stress level. "Biofeedback: How Relaxed Are You?" will be presented by Paul Mikowski, Psychologist in the Center for Counseling & Wellness.

IC students, faculty, and staff are all welcome.

Fitness Center Spring Classes

Sign ups begin on Monday, January 11th for Yoga, Pilates, T'ai Chi and Massage at  the Fitness Center. 

The Aerobics schedule will be available later in the week.

Between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13, all Mail Services staff -- including the Phillips Hall Post Office -- will be attending their divisional winter festival

There will be morning delivery AND collection of mail. You can expect mail delivery to occur between 8:45am and 10:00am on Wednesday.

There will be afternoon delivery of Express and 2nd day packages. Ground packages will be delivered if time permits. 

The FedEx and mail afternoon pick-up schedule will still occur.

The Mail Center will be staffed with a student worker but will be closed for shipping during this time. The Phillips Hall Post Office will not be staffed from 10:00am – 1pm.

Contact the Mail Center at 274-3371 if you have any questions.

Naeem Inayatullah has just published Savage Economics: Wealth, Poverty and the Temporal Walls of Capitalism (Routledge, January 2010).  Situated in the overlap between economic anthropology, history of economic thought, and international relations theory, this book opens  the way for different understanding of wealth and poverty under capitalism.

Biweekly Timecards

Please be aware that we now process online timecards on a biweekly basis.  This means that non exempt staff and students will report time every other week instead of every week.  Timecards need to be submitted and approved the Monday before pay day.  Please visit the Payroll Office's website for the biweekly pay schedule.

Calling All Musicians!

Have you been wanting to play in orchestra since coming to college, but haven't had the time or the opportunity?

The Ithaca College Sinfonietta is an orchestral ensemble open to all Ithaca College and Cornell students and can be taken for credit. All string, wind, brass, and percussion players, both music majors and non-music majors, are encouraged to join--no audition is required.
