Jackie Scahill has been awarded $800 ($400 from both the Beta Beta Beta Research Foundation and Ithaca College) to conduct research with Susan Allen-Gil. 

Her research project involves comparing the effects of atrazine, which is the most heavily used herbicide in the US on the embryological development of frogs and fish.

Patricia Zimmerman, professor of cinema, photography and media arts, was an invited speaker at the Flow Conference at the University of Texas-Austin on October 27. With Helen De Michiel, codirector of the National Association of Media Arts and Culture, she gave a presentation entitled "Activating Public Spheres, Opening Sources."
