Study in Greece!

Ithaca College’s Office of International Programs and the Classical Studies Program will host a visit by a representative of College Year in Athens, a non-affiliated study abroad program based in Greece. An informal presentation will take place on Tuesday, October 10 at 12:10-1:00 in Klingenstein Lounge. All interested students and faculty are invited to bring a lunch and discuss study abroad in Greece.

Senior Pasquale Iacono will make an oral presentation, "Using Fluorocarbons to Study Carbanion Chemistry", on Thursday, 5 October, to the Organic Chemistry Division at the Northeastern Regional Meeting of the American Chemical Society in Binghamton, NY. The research is Pasquale's senior honors research project with Professor Heinz Koch.

Faculty performers from the Ithaca College School of Music will give a free concert on Tuesday Oct. 10, to celebrate Daniel Pearl World Music Days. Beginning at 8:15 p.m. in Ford Hall in the James J. Whalen Center for Music, the concert will be one of hundreds of performances held in more than 60 countries to remember the Wall Street Journal reporter murdered by extremists in Pakistan four years ago.

The new director of orchestral activities at the Ithaca College School of Music, Jeffery Meyer, will lead the Ithaca College Chamber Orchestra in its first free concert of the season on Friday, October 6 at 8:15 p.m. in Ford Hall.
