Varona-Lacey on 03/01/06 Annette Levine's manuscript "Cry for Me, Argentina: The Performance of Trauma in the Short Narrative of Aída Bortnik, Griselda Gambaro, and Tununa Mercado" has won this year's Northeast Modern Language Association Book Prize for best non-published manuscript. Professor Levine will be presented with the award March 3rd at the NEMLA convention in Philadelphia. Her book will be published by Farleigh Dickinson University Press. The year-long film series "Out of the Closet and Onto the Screen: The Many Meanings of Family" continues with a screening this week of "Creating a Place at the Table." Free and open to the public, the screening will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1, in Textor 102. The film was released on February 20, making our campus one of the first places to screen this new documentary.
