Varona-Lacey on 03/01/06 Annette Levine's manuscript "Cry for Me, Argentina: The Performance of Trauma in the Short Narrative of Aída Bortnik, Griselda Gambaro, and Tununa Mercado" has won this year's Northeast Modern Language Association Book Prize for best non-published manuscript. Professor Levine will be presented with the award March 3rd at the NEMLA convention in Philadelphia. Her book will be published by Farleigh Dickinson University Press.
