Offering an alternative to the traditional master class teaching method, William Westney will bring his “Un-Master Class” to the Ithaca College School of Music at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 25. The free workshop will take place in Whalen Center Room 3102. Musicians of any level are invited to attend, and non-musicians are also welcome. Westney’s approach is designed to focus performers’ energy on communicating authentically with the audience, reconnect participants with their exuberant, natural physical intuition about music, and assist performers to reach new, significant levels of artistry.

As Congress attempts to finish its work on the Reauthorization of the Higher Education Act, your voice of support for student aid could make a difference. At present, Congress plans to balance the federal budget and pay for hurricane relief by cutting BILLIONS of dollars from student loan programs. These cuts could lead to higher student loan interest rates and fees. Your input is invaluable.
