(141 words) It is with heavy hearts that we share some sad news with the IC community. Don Mooney, an Ithaca College icon, beloved by thousands of students, passed away on May 1st, 2020, after a short illness. In 2017, students, faculty, alumni, and all of our other IC friends nominated Don as one of their favorite Ithaca College icons, celebrating this achievement at IC’s 125th Anniversary celebration. Don was thrilled to receive this special award from the Ithaca College community. In Don's 12+ years of service as a Dining Services employee, he greeted thousands of students into Towers and Terrace Dining Halls. Don was undeniably a familiar face to all that entered the dining hall.
