On Thursday, November 15, public television stations from across upstate New York will broadcast a special program on the challenges facing business leaders and government officials throughout the region. Titled Upstate: Getting Down to Business, the hour-long live program will include a segment featuring Susan West Engelkemeyer, dean of the School of Business.

The On the Verge reading series and the Handkwerker Gallery present a staged reading of John Webster's play, The Duchess of Malfi, directed by English department faculty member Claire Gleitman, on Thursday, November 15, at 6:30 p.m. in the Handwerker Gallery.

Ithaca College Toastmasters would like to invite members of the campus to attend a free presentation by 2001 World Champion of Public Speaking, Darren LaCroix, titled "Paths to Powerful Presentations: How I Went from Chump to Champ!" He will present in Klingenstein Lounge on Friday, November 16, at 1:00 p.m.

LaCroix was named the 2001 World Champion of Public Speaking by Toastmasters International following a grueling competition against contestants from 14 countries.
