Conference and Event Services Office Hours - Friday, April 29, 2005Contributed by David Prunty on 04/28/05 The Office of Conference and Event Services will be closed for some number of hours Friday, April 29, 2005 so staff can attend the funeral for Morgan Potter. We are making every attempt to cover the office with student workers, but the entire office may be closed from approximately 9:30 am to approximately 3:00pm. Thank you for your support during this difficult time. The Center for the Study of Culture, Race, and Ethnicity, is pleased to introduce a display on Abenaki heritage near 101 CHS. Zimmerman, professor of cinema and photography and coordinator of the culture and communication program in the Division of Interdisciplinary and International Studies, to serve as a grant panelist. Read more . . . (46 words) Three Ithaca College students and one non-student have been identified for their role in taking the rainbow flag from the "free speech" flagpole on the academic quad. The flag, which symbolizes gay pride, was reported missing in the early morning hours of Saturday, April 9. The students have been referred to the campus judicial system for alleged violations of the Student Conduct Code; the non-student will be issued a criminal trespass waiver prohibiting him from being on the campus. Sophomore Morgan Potter died early this morning, apparently as the result of a fall from his room on the 8th floor of the West Tower residence hall. While the Office of Public Safety is investigating the circumstances of the fall, there appear to be no signs of foul play. Read more . . .
