If you have a mailing list you send to year after year and continually notice a large amount of returns or lack of responses, Mail Services can help you.

We have software that can verify the addresses within your mailing list to determine if the street number and street name is a verifiable delivery point for that city, state and zip code. The software can recognize if it needs a directional such as North or SW, if it should be Avenue or Street and correct zip code errors.
Addresses that can not be validated should not be mailed to. These addresses are returned to you to be corrected or deleted from future mailings.
In the past if you sent a mailing at the non-profit rate through the College permit, “bad” addresses were discarded by the USPS, the mail piece was not delivered and not returned.
This service is available year round for the campus.
Please contact Sherry at bulkmail@ithaca.edu or call 4-1650 before you go to print to have your mailing list validated.
