Thursday, October 9, 7:00 p.m., Textor 102 -- Bill Goodman, attorney and longtime proponent of equal rights for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people will lecture on legal perspectives about legislative, judicial, and policy issues that affect LGBT people. The event is sponsored by the Office of Multicultural Affairs Center for LGBT Education, Outreach, and Services.

The Office of Multicultural Affairs presents Johanna Bermudez Ruiz' film Vieques: Un Pueblo Forjando Futuros /An Island Forging Futures, on Monday, October 6, at 7:00 p.m. in Textor 103. This 17 minute documentary film demonstrates part of the peaceful resistance movement against the U.S. Navy bombing practices on the island of Vieques, a sister island of Puerto Rico.

Susan Waterbury, assistant professor of music performance at Ithaca College, will present a free violin recital on Saturday, October 4. The recital will include sonatas by Prokofiev and Schubert as well as the premiere of a composition for solo violin by Ithaca composer Sally Lamb.
