On Sunday, September 7, two young women who were part of the Ithaca College Dining Services family tragically lost their lives in an automobile accident. Jay Pasachoff, Field Memorial Professor of Astronomy and Director of Hopkins Observatory, Williams College. Tuesday, Sept. 23, 7:30 p.m.; Emerson Suites. To astronomers, black holes have changed from weird possibilities to common occurrences. They are turning up all over the universe, with black holes containing millions or billions of times the sun's mass taking up the centers of galaxies.
